"Wow, Wow, Wow Our third tour abroad and they just keep getting better! From the moment we arrived in Faro, Ron and Sam were there to greet us, took us to the hotel and made sure everyone was settled and happy. Steve our Tour Rep for the week arrived later that evening and from then on, the week just got better and better. The hotel rooms and the facilities were excellent, and the location superb, right on the beach front, our best yet. We played four bowls matches during the week, which were all organised for us and couldn’t have asked for more. The clubs and its members were so welcoming, and we have made some lovely friends and contacts for bowling back in the UK next year. All I can say is that a week on, everyone is still talking about what a fantastic time they all had this year, and can they book again for 2023 – a huge thank you to Ron, Sam, Steve and the administration team for Bowling Abroad, you really do provide a 1st Class service which is second to none – See you in 2023!"

"2022 was my first time as a group leader but it was the seventh time at the Ampalius Hotel. As always we had a really great time enjoyed by all. As a new leader, I was guided and helped by Ron Scott from the beginning, nothing was too much trouble with even more help on arrival! With very little notice he quickly rearranged a match for us when our opposition couldn't play. He always wants the best for the group and is full of suggestions to help the tour. One suggestion this year was dinner in a restaurant after a match at Alvor. This was a great success and hopefully will be repeated in 2023. Thank you, Ron and your team."

"Just to say how much we all enjoyed our stay at the Ampalius Hotel in Vilamoura on October 11th 2022. As a tour organiser, I have organised six other bowling tours abroad in the past and this is the first with Bowling Abroad - and it certainly won't be the last! We are already planning for 2023!! The attention to detail, all transfers were on time, and personal service from Lone our tour manager was outstanding. Our meal on the last night - courtesy of Ron Scott MD of Bowling Abroad - was fantastic and one we will always remember. The bowling clubs we visited were extremely friendly and all our games were enjoyable. So thanks again to Ron and his fantastic team for a memorable time."

"We have just returned from a two-club joint tour of the Algarve in Portugal, organises by the Bowling Abroad company led by Ron Scott. The entire trip was organised by Bowling Abroad. Two separate clubs meeting for the first time at a holiday hotel and then playing four games in a week, with a couple of days off to enjoy the sunshine. At the start, there was a hitch when one of the flights was cancelled at the last minute, but our dedicated organiser, Ron Scott simply took that in his stride and adjusted the tour to suit the new flight. our tour manager for the week Geoff was brilliant from start to finish, ensuring that the games were fully attended by bringing in extra players and playing, himself, if that was necessary, to ensure the games went smoothly. Four games were organised, game 1 was the two clubs against each other because of the delayed flight. The other 3 games were against Pedras, Valverde, and Alvor. None of the clubs could have been more welcoming. They were great and provided good and friendly games. The after-game drinks and chats were better than excellent. The transport was also laid on by Bowling Abroad After the last game, the touring sides were taken out to a local Portuguese restaurant for a slap-up meal (including drinks). We were joined by Ron Scott himself for the evening. Ron was most interested in how the week went and how the experience could have been improved. After the meal, there was a great prize-giving speech by Geoff, followed by the Horsell, and Banister Park organisers. The whole evening was a great wind down to the tour. On behalf of the Banister Park team, I would like to say a great big thank you to Ron and his team at Bowling Abroad. The entire experience was superb. We started to organise the next tour as soon as we returned and Ron is in the process of sorting it all out for us"

"We cannot thank Ron and the Bowling Abroad team enough. Having our flight cancelled only 4 hours before we were due to travel could have been difficult but within 20 minutes Ron had us booked on the first flight out the following day. This meant a re-jig to our schedule but by the time we arrived everything had been sorted so we could enjoy our 4 matches as promised. Our group leader Geoff was an amazing host, nothing was too much trouble. The Hotel Dom Jose in Quarteira was a perfect place to stay, with sea views excellent food and atmosphere and very attentive staff. We enjoyed a fabulous presentation night at the local La Cabane restaurant as a perfect end to our tour. We will definitely be booking again in future years. "'After having had to rearrange this tour twice since March 2020, it was a great pleasure to the Cornish Travellers to land at Faro airport. Once again we stayed at the Jupiter hotel in Portimao, an excellent location right by the beach, and always a great place to be based. During the week we played 4 games of bowls, all at very welcoming clubs, where we acquitted ourselves well, enjoying the bowls and the social side of the game. This was our eleventh tour with Bowling Abroad, and the organisation was as we have come to expect - first class. A big 'thank you' to our Bowling Abroad Tour manager Geoff and to Lone who assisted and deputised for him as required, we hope to see you both again at some time in the future. "Dear Ron, We had the AGM of St.Johns (Meads) Bowls Club on Friday, which was the first opportunity for all the members who came to Portugal on the 1st October 2019 to get together and give their comments. Bowling Abroad’s arrangement were without fault. From our arrival at Faro Airport where we were met by three representatives of the company until we got back to Faro on our return journey, every aspect of our trip was superbly organised. Our hotel The Ampalius was without fault the staff were so friendly and helpful. The Bowling Abroad Tour manager Geoff was outstanding and if not in our company then he was available on the phone. His arrangements with regards to our coach transport were excellent as were the coaches and drivers. The Clubs that we visited made us feel welcome and with the help of Geoff’s organisation all our players were accommodated with games. A special thanks to you Ron for organising lunches at the clubs. I would like to say a special thank you to Paul Lazenby from the office, who I was able to meet in person on our night out at the restaurant (another super time had by all) for the efficient way the administration of our holiday was dealt with, everything delivered on the day he said it would arrive. A few people had some reservations especially those who would not be bowling but partners were. By the 3rd day each and every one of the group were 'demanding' we return next year. It was so brilliant. Thanks to Ron & Paul - amazingly efficient organisation and responsive attention throughout. Cannot recommend highly enough. Re-booked for next March 2020!"

The main thing that I will personally bring home with me was the complete deal that Ron put together for us, leaving time to enjoy our bowls, days off, excursions, quality hotel and the very friendly, welcoming teams that we played against. Every detail was covered unlike previous tours we have been on with a different company! "We, five Welsh ladies, have just returned from a most wonderful bowling holiday in the Algarve. Ron Scott and the lovely Sam pulled out all the stops in ensuring our holiday was a great success. We stayed at the Hotel Ampalius in Vilamoura and joined forces with another of Ron’s clients – Somersham Bowls Club. We enjoyed four matches during our week long stay and all of our host clubs were very friendly and welcoming. The grass rinks were truly superb to play on , just like velvet!! We cannot fault the hospitality shown to us by all the clubs we visited. Ron and Sam accompanied and played with us, took us shopping on our free days and escorted us to a lovely Portuguese restaurant for dinner one evening. They and the restaurant were absolutely great! Their organisation and attention to detail could not be faulted and we are already looking forward to another memorable holiday with Bowling Abroad next year."

"Hi Ron, the following is a report of Sunderland Bowls Club tour with BOWLING ABROAD Administration: (Nirvana Europe Ltd) this is the third tour and found the company first class everything was dealt with promptly and efficiently, particularly Paul Lazenby. 100% satisfaction. Hotel: The hotel Meridional was excellent, waiter service and good food, the staff were very helpful allowing us courtesy rooms until the time of our return flight and even provided us with a Sunday evening meal ( a big thank you to them ) Transfers: The coaches and drivers were great, and the guys were very accommodating agreeing for a small fee to take us all to Cartagena a very nice city indeed. Tour Manager: Our tour manager was Sandra who arranged an evening visit to Quesada BC for a social evening. Full Marks, she was very good and played for us in all four matches, both her welcome and farewell presentations were very good and her knowledge of the area was excellent and I would personally recommend her to any visiting groups. Overall: It was a very good week, as I said earlier this was our 3rd tour with your company Ron and we are already looking forward to the next one. A big thank you to you and all your staff. "Hi Ron As an inexperienced bowler who had never bowled abroad I was somewhat surprised when I was volunteered to lead the trip to Portugal. I need not have worried because everything went very smoothly. We were all very pleased with our hotel. We didn't come home with suntans but we were able to get out and walk and sightsee on most of our free days. Some of us made good use of the heated pool. The trip to Silves was enjoyed by all, our tour manager Steve, who looked after us well throughout our 10 day stay, put in a medal winning performance both on and off the greens. He organised good weather for our bowling days and played for us as two of our group had to withdraw shortly before we left Eastbourne. The host clubs all made us very welcome and the lunches provided were excellent. We succeeded in coming a close second in all our matches but our opponents can bowl all winter and we were rusty! I will end with a big thankyou to you Ron. Bowling Abroad obviously has lots of experience dealing with bowling groups and you made things easy for me. Ian Dixon"

"In 2012, I was a member of the 'Bowling Abroad Tour' organised St Albans & District touring party to the Algarve, based at Pedras da Rainha. Following an extremely successful tour, in 2013 I asked Ron Scott to arrange a Bowling holiday for my club. We have now enjoyed four years of tours at Dom Jose Hotel, Quarteira for two years and Pedras da Rainha for one year and last year Ampalius in Vilamoura. A fifth has tour has been arranged this year based again at the Ampalius Hotel in Vilamoura. The Hotel Jupiter surprised us all in its high level of excellence, from the buffets, the rooms and most importantly the attentiveness of all its staff. The Bowling Abroad team looked after us from the minute we arrived at the airport until the minute we left. We enjoyed 3 games of bowling with 1 unfortunately cancelled due to the heavy rain but we were welcomed at their club for lunch, after spending the morning in the shopping mall! All the clubs we visited extended such a warm welcome and we look forward to returning at some point. We had a surprise visit from Sarah our rep from last year, when we visited Spain on our tour. The club enjoyed that tour so much that we requested one for this year, hence our visit to Portugal. So again many thanks to Bowling Abroad for arranging the two tours for us"
